Big Steps Educational Daycare is a warm, family-style in-home childcare program located in Pinole, California, proudly serving families throughout Contra Costa County for nearly a decade.

Founded by Ms. M.D. Boyd, a Bay Area native, mother, educator, and business owner, Big Steps combines the warmth of a home environment with the quality of a professionally designed early childhood program.

 

Ms. Boyd holds an Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education, an Associate of Arts in Social & Behavioral Sciences, and an Associate Teacher–Preschool Permit.

Our mixed-age learning environment feels like an extension of home. Every child is known by name, encouraged to build meaningful friendships, develop independence, help one another, and celebrate the diverse cultures represented within our community.
